You must have already thought about robots with wheels, tracks, 2-legged, 4-legged, fixed in place while sorting balls, LEGO bricks, drawing... But have you ever imagined a robot which doesn't touch the ground? So it's right here. CCC is built with a single NXT 2.0 set, from the instructions (building & programming) from The LEGO Mindstorms NXT 2.0 Discovery Book. It stops when it reaches the top (ultrasonic sensor) and it has a balance sensor, assembled with the color sensor. Here's it in action:

Baseball for 2
For those who love baseball and don't wanna to take the risk to splinter your house's windows, here is Baseball for 2. Built with only one NXT 2.0 set, it's controlled by two triggers idealized from this instructions (pdf), one for the thrower (armed with six Zamor spheres and a tire ro prevent balls flying through the air) and another one for the batter (with an auto-adjustable bat, with a color sensor that stops the motor when it "sees" the bat). A great model to play with your family and friends, with two spaces for the balls: the lower one, for the warded-off ones, and the upper, for the perfectly throwed ones. I recommend you to play on a towel, in order not to happen what you'll see in this video:

NXT Password Safe
For you that want security when keeping your stuff and don't wanna carry keys, this safe is the ideal one. Robotized with a NXT 2.0 set, it receives 5 passwords from 0 to 99 and, as long as all are correct, it opens automatically. After the opening and closing of the door, it locks automatically and ends the program. If an incorrect password is given, the program ends immediately. All the safe's "covering" was built with LEGO System & Duplo (only the bottom was made with cardboard, owing to lack of pieces...). Here's the video:

Hybrid Brick Sorter
Here is the first post with one of my robots: the Hybrid Brick Sorter, a robot which sorts standard LEGO bricks by color (green, blue, yellow and red) and by size (2x2 and 2x4). Building and programming step-by-step instructions following "The LEGO Mindstorms NXT 2.0 Discovery Book", but the "V2" was programmed entirely by me, only based on the original program. Built with just one NXT 2.0 set. Watch this video for further information:

This blog is a door I'm trying to open for everyone, in Brazil or all over the world, that are already LEGO lovers (specially Mindstorms NXT) and those that want to meet this so fascinating toy. The blog will have a lot of models made by me, links for other fantastic websites about LEGO and a link for the Twitter that I'll also create for us to discuss everything about LEGO. Thanks a lot for the visit; see you later!
